At 13 years of age, Alain Xalabarde begun his passionate trip towards the world of cinema. At that moment in his life, he was living in Cape Town (South Africa) and was invited to help out at Sasani Studios - a place where he gained his first knowledge of the inner-works of the film industry.
After living in South Africa for 5 years, he was back to his native country (Spain) where became an intern for 'UK telebista', a local television station when he was barely 16 years old. After that, he took part in various film and theater projects around the main cities of Spain (Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, Seville, etc.), including director of 3 short films.
He arrived to New York City in 2005, where he directed his acclaimed rock opera short film 'Wood & Holly'. He spent the next 3 years in New York, as director of photography for all sorts of projects that ranged from music videos to independent feature films.
His most recent project, a martial arts short film entitled 'China Doll', is currently under post-production. Alain currently lives in London, UK.
